Top 4 Exercises To Lose Weight Fast At Home
1. Push-ups (of course)!
It wouldn’t be a list of home-exercises if it didn’t include push-ups.
The reason it’s #1 on this list is simple; as well as helping to burn fat, it’s also an incredible exercise for building muscle.
It’s also a really great exercise to do during ad breaks.
Set yourself a goal of, say, 10 push-ups, every time your TV show goes to commercials.
Once you’re able to do 10 easily, make it 15, then 20, then 30, etc.
HOT TIP: If you’re not able to do regular push-ups, you can use your knees instead. These are often referred to as “girl push-ups“, but there are plenty of men out there who struggle to do regular push-ups, too. If they’re still too hard, you can do them on an angle against your couch/chair.
This full-body exercise combines strength and cardio, making it a sure-pick for my top 4 at-home weight-loss exercises.
Again, like push-ups, burpees are a great exercise to do while you’re waiting for your fave TV show to come back from a commercial break.
If you’ve never done them before, the technique can be a bit tricky to get right.
And, I’m not going to even bother attempting to explain it in text.
Instead, just Google “how to do a burpee”, and you’ll find a bazillion videos showing the correct technique.
HOT TIP: If push-ups or burpees are getting boring by themselves, mix it up a bit and do both during commercial breaks. Do some push-ups, have a break, do some burpees, have a break, and repeat until your show is back on.
Personally, this is my ACTUAL #1 pick for best home weight-loss exercise.
But I’m biased; my treadmill is pretty much the only reason I managed to lose weight.
I love it.
Anyway, if you can put a treadmill in front of a TV at home, that’s a plan for success right there.
You’ll burn a literal tonne of calories, get to watch whatever show you like to keep boredom at bay, and all from your own home.
Sign me the heck up, right?
HOT TIP: I’ve found that action shows are usually the best to run to, followed by comedies. Avoid dramas and any other shows that seem “slow”, as they won’t have that level of distraction that you might need to stay alert for 30-60 minutes.
4. A full-body body-weight weight-loss circuit
The name is a bit of a mouthful, but basically, just do a simple body-weight circuit at home.
Something with 3-5 simple exercises, that require no equipment other than your body.
Oh, would you look at that?

It’s super simple; goes for 15 minutes, consists of 5 exercises that require no equipment, and is designed to make you SWEAT.

HOT TIP: With circuits, if you’re keeping the duration of the exercise the same, you’re going to need to increase intensity at some point to progress. If one week you can only do 5 sit-ups, try to do 6 next time, and then 7, and then 8. Always push your self, and always try to do better than your last workout.
