I’m a pretty lazy guy; I won’t sit here and deny it.
If there’s a faster/easier way out there to get something done, I’ll probably do it.
(It’s called being smart, duh. I value my time!)
I’m exactly the same way when it comes to exercising, too.
If there’s already a kick-ass program out there on the internet, why not just follow that instead of spend hours creating my own?
Makes sense, right?
(Surely I’m not the only one…?)
Anyway, I figured you’d probably feel the same way, which is why I compiled a list of my top 3 free online weight loss programs.
With each one, I’ll include a little summary of why the particular program is good, what it’s all about, and where you can find it (a link to the website).
Let’s get started.
Top 3 Free Online Weight Loss Programs
I wouldn’t be a very good self promoter if I didn’t mention my own weight loss program first, would I?
1. My “Super Basic Home Weight Loss Circuit”
Created by yours truly, this is a very simple (but very effective) weight loss circuit.
Body-weight exercises, such as:
- Mountain Climbers
You don’t need any equipment at all, just a stopwatch (you can get an app on your phone), enough space to perform the exercises, and 15 minutes of free time.
Due to the nature of the circuit (tabata), everyone, regardless of fitness levels, will get a good workout.

2. SuperSkinnyMe’s 12 Week Exercise Program
This one is pretty great.
The exercise program lasts for 12 weeks, and has you exercising 6 days a week, with a rest on sunday.
(That’s a lot of exercise for a newbie!)
But, if you have the motivation to stick to it, it’ll do absolute wonders for your waistline.
Some of the exercises include:
- Core/ab workouts
- Steady-state cardio
- HIIT cardio
- Upper body only exercises
- Full body exercises
Ranging from 15 to 45 minutes, these exercises can get pretty intense.

3. Shape’s No-Fail Fat-Loss Program
Shape have really outdone themselves with this one; it’s super in depth.
There are 11 different exercises you’ll be doing, and like the SuperSkinnyMe program, it’s 6 days on with one day off.
And, again, just like with the SuperSkinnyMe program, it gets super intense super quick.
Some of the exercises you’ll be doing are:
- “Step-It-Up” – various activities incolving a step, such as squat jumps, toe taps, box jumps, etc
- Active stretches
- “Zero to 10 in 30” – a 30 minute run, alternating between a slow jog and an all out sprint
- HIIT body-weight workout
- No-equipment cardio
- And a whole bunch more
Each exercise seems to require 15-60 minutes of your time, depending on which exercise and which day you’re doing.
Overall, I’d say that this program is by far the most in-depth program, and quite frankly, the best on the list.
(Even better than my circuit!)
