7 Epic Weight Loss Motivation Quotes That Will Get You Up And Moving!

Weight Loss Motivation QuotesSometimes we can get a bit worn out and lose focus on what our goals are.

Sometimes, we need a little kick in the ass to get going again.

And, sometimes, we just need to read a few weight loss motivation quotes.

The following motivational quotes were handpicked and expanded on by none other than yours truly, so all you have to do is take in the underlying message of the quote and get back to your healthy, fantastic day.

7 Epic Weight Loss Motivation Quotes:

(Note: not all of these motivational quotes are about weight loss, per se… But we can interpret them in a way that relates to weight loss, which is what we will be doing!)

Here’s the first one; enjoy!

“Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it.”

– Dennis P. Kimbro…. or Charles R. Swindoll

I like this quote a lot, mainly because it forces you to take responsibility for your life and the position you’re in.

Sure, you might only be fat because your parents fed you bad food without fully knowing the consequences.

And yeah, you might have “bad genetics” (which, by the way, only play a small role in weight loss anyway…).

But that doesn’t matter, because you’re an adult, and you’re the only one who can turn things around for yourself.

“It is better to take many small steps in the right direction than to make a great leap forward only to stumble backward.”

– Old Chinese Proverb

This is pretty much the exact thing I tell anyone I train or work with personally.

If you want to see real success with weight loss, you need to take small steps towards a healthier lifestyle.

If you try to do it all in the first week, you’re going to burn yourself out and fail, hard.

So slow down, take a chill pill (don’t actually take a chill pill…), and keep building your healthy lifestyle gradually.

“Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.”

– Henry Ford

This is easily one of my favourite weight loss motivation quotes.

It’s awesome because it’s absolutely true; if you think you can lose weight, you’re right.

You need to have that positive attitude going into every workout, before every meal, and every morning when you wake up.

You can lose weight, but only if you think you can.

“If your dog is fat, you’re not getting enough exercise.”

– Unknown

This doesn’t just apply to your dog, either.

In fact, if your friends, family, co-workers, etc. are fat, chances are you will be, too.

There’s another quote I like to repeat that goes a little something like this: “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” – Jim Rohn

Basically, you are a product of your environment.

And if you want to change yourself, you’re going to need to change your environment too.

Whether that means taking your dog for more walks, or encouraging your friends and family to make healthier lifestyle choices, you need to inspire the people/animals around you if you want to see success for yourself.

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”

– Confucius

Very similar to the old chinese proverb quoted above, but with a slightly different message.

With this quote, it’s not so much about necessarily taking small steps, more-so about making sure that you never, ever stop.

Picture this; you’re eating a healthy diet and exercising, but you’re only losing half a pound a week.

“This sucks!” you might say, “I want to lose 2 pounds a week!”

[wp_ad_camp_1]

Now, some people might call it quits and just go back to their old habits.

After all, they weren’t losing anywhere near as much weight as they wanted.

But what if they continued at half a pound a week for a year?

If they managed to lose half a pound every week for a year, they’d have lost 26 pounds!

Not the greatest example I know, but you get the idea.

Stick to it. Don’t ever give up. Keep moving forward.

“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.”

– Mark Victor Hansen

This is a very, very big problem I see a lot of people dealing with when trying to lose weight.

You’ll get the idea to lose weight, hell, you might even find a plan that you can follow.

But some small detail isn’t perfect.

Maybe your running shoes are a bit dirty, so you tell yourself you’ll wait until you buy some new ones.

Maybe you don’t feel like you’ll you’ll be able to give it 100% at the gym, so you postpone it until you feel better.

In either case, guess what happens?

Nothing.

Yep, instead of “doing it later”, you “do it never”, which is way, way worse.

So just get out there and do it. Just do it.

“If we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zone.”

– John Maxwell

And last but not least in this list of weight loss motivation quotes, we’ve got this little beauty.

If you’re ever feeling strange or weird while at the gym, or if you’re not quite sure how to cook a specific recipe, then just remember this quote.

I often felt uncomfortable as I was losing weight, but it helped to know that the only reason I felt that way was because everything was very new to me.

Just remember that while you’re attempting to do all of these new and different things, you’re growing as a person and also becoming much healthier, fitter, and awesomer.

So those were just 7 of my fave weight loss motivation quotes, if you’ve got any that you think are better I’d love for you to leave a comment below and tell me!
